September 11th 12:00-1:30PM MST | How to Give and Receive Effective FeedbackEffective feedback is an essential skill for creating a highly connected, innovative, and accomplished culture. It is also one of the skills that leaders struggle with the most and that team members say is missing from their employee experience and learning journeys. In this session, you'll learn the key principles of requesting, interpreting, and providing effective feedback. |
September 25th 12:00-1:30PM MST | Power ≠ Personality: Redefining Leadership TogetherIn this interactive and insightful session, your co.facilitators Jeff Couillard (The Ally Co.) and Christian Ortiz (Justice AI GPT) will share pathways for shifting from (unintentional) harmful patterns towards more liberating ways of leading. Applying a power - and justice-centred lens, this session will explore how supremacy culture, whiteness, and biased systems show up in leadership (often invisibly). Yes, words like these can spark different reactions, and that’s exactly what we want to unpack together - in a supportive, open, and safe space where honest reflection and learning are possible. |
October 9th 12:00-1:30PM MST | Navigating Power Dynamics in the Workplace (1/3)In this first session (of three) we introduce several core concepts from the Right Use of Power™ model to create shared language and understanding of power - what it is, where it comes from, and what often happens within power dynamics. We'll also be creating space for personal reflection on your own power history, and how that history has impacted your view on power and how to use it. |
October 23rd 12:00-1:30PM MST | Navigating Power Dynamics in the Workplace (2/3)In this second session, we dive into how power shows up in relationships, with a deep dive on the up/down power dynamic, the shadow side of power, and how to create the conditions for healthier interpersonal and team relationships. By shifting to a proactive use of power, you'll learn how to identify and address issues and potential problems sooner (and faster), so that you can stay connected and aligned in your relationships. |
November 13th 12:00-1:30PM MST | Navigating Power Dynamics in the Workplace (3/3)In this final session, we introduce a suite of practical communication tools and skills to help you communicate more powerfully and effectively. You'll leave the session with a selection of practical playbooks and tools, having had the opportunity to practice those tools in a safe environment with peers and facilitators. |
Feedback so far
Working in the non-profit and public service sectors, with a goal to create and nurture lasting social impact is extremely rewarding and fills a passion for so many.
It can also be lonely and uncertain work, often leaving leaders and teams with more questions than tools and answers.
The Ally Co.’s leadership development work has provided real-time thinking and tools to help my teams foster more collaborative, impactful, and healthy cultural practices.

Talent Development & Learning Senior Advisor, Alberta Health Services
The Ally Co. facilitates open and reflective learning experiences, with practical exercises rather than a glossy deck.
They build a safe container, name hard truths without theatrics, and keep commitments.
For example, they helped our leadership team to establish clearer vocabulary to name the patterns we were living in, rebalance power through redefining roles, and to identify measurable progress and accountability.

Ian Frith
Founder & Principal, ForgeWorks Advisory Inc.
The session was incredibly well received and impactful for our Inclusion Leadership Council. The experience broadened our understanding of power dynamics, especially in traditional corporate settings.
The tools were practical and enlightening, and we’re already thinking about how to embed them into onboarding and leadership development.
Personally, it really helped me reflect on my own influence as a leader.

Ashley Popko
Inclusion & Belonging Manager, TC Energy
The Ally Co. did an exceptional job of creating a safe space for our executive leadership team.
They shared relevant tools, context, platforms for sticky conversations that allowed for things to be spoken about as they are.
